Wiring 6x9 speaker

Hiya

Iv just bought some 6x9 speakers for my 205 gti. I was wondering if I have to run a wire directly from the radio to the parcel shelf. Or could I cut the wires in the existing rear speakers and wire them into that?

It may be a silly question but just won't to make sure before I start!

Yes, you can do that, but ensure the connections are sound and properly insulated.
