I have just brought a 306 Hdi 2001 and have a problem with the internal ventilation system. The blower fan is runnning and changing speed as I turn the selector switch. The problem is that no air is blowing from any of the vents no matter what selection I make for where the air is to blow from. If I put my hand over a vent that has been selected I can feel a very weak flow and the temperature does change across the range when selected from cold to hot. The car also has air con and when selected thr motor runs but again no air is blowing from the vents. Can anyone please help. Many thanks, Paul
Ok so I have just been trying to investigate the problem further. I removed the fan so that I could see if the recirculation flaps x2 were motoring open and closed and they are. So nothing is blocking the flow coming into the fan from under the windscreen area. When I rotate the selector switch on the control panel, to direct which vents the air should come from, I can see the cable (through where the radio is normally positioned) movining an arm up and down. So I asume this arm operates some sort of valve that directs where the air flows. Don't know where to look next, maybe something is jamed somewhere??? Any suggestions welcome please.
