Hi everyone,
First a hello and I can now breath a sigh of relief that I have found somewhere with folks who can perhaps help me with a little problem.
My mother has a Year 2000, Peugeot 406 1.8 16V with A/C and lives across the water in Northern Ireland. It developed a petrol leak which was diagnosed as fuel pipes 3 & 4 (of 8) which run between the fuel pump and the petrol tank.
A phonecall to Peugeot confirmed these parts are now obsolete! Aparently other models of 406 have similar parts which arent obsolete but her mechanic is reluctant to even attempt to use a different pipe incase in fails and causes a major fuel leak/fire.
Have any of you had any experience of this?
I have the full code for the parts (just not to hand) so is there a peugeot online parts catalogue that could be referred to?
Would it be possible to use a universal braded competition fuel line to replace these pipes?
Sorry if im grasping at straws - my mother is on her own, i live in England and her mechanic is as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. She has owned the 406 for 6 years, its low mileage and she loves it dearly. If we cant get this fiixed its going to end up being scrapped and she truthfully cant afford to replace it with anything decent at this moment.
If anyone can suggest a fix or perhaps someone to approach who might have overstock of old Peugeot parts, please feel free to post.
Many thanks for all help in advance.

Thanks, that would be wonderful.
The code I have which was verified by Peugeot as being correct is:
11-2000G15E12A - NUMBERS 3 & 4 (THERE SHOULD BE 8 PIPES).
Once again thank you so much.

Noel, That looks like the reference of the microfiche/computer? it sounds like you are looking for #3 & 4 injector pipes? can you let me have the last eight numbers of the chassis number? I will see what I can do tomorrow.

Hi Noel, I have checked the parts systems that I have got and have lokked up that reference which is the reference to the parts slides for your Mum` car. The two part numbers for item 3 & 4 are 1573WV and 1573VZ. Unfortunately both part numbers are no longer available from Peugeot. I have checked another system to see if any dealer that is on there (it covers the UK, Europe and Australia) and no-one is showing any stock either. I then checked with the online list of Dean Hunter who is a Peugeot specialist in Yorkshire and he is not showing them either, however, Dean has got both new and secondhand parts and he may be able to help with an alternative. He is on 01977 677887. Please mention CPUK if you spaek to him! If all that fails then I am afraid you are back to the salvage yards. Sorry we could not find the parts but hope you resolve the problem and keep another Peugeot on the road!

Thanks so much for your efforts - I reckon I will have to try the breakers yard.
I dont suppose either of these parts could be replaced with a competition braided fuel pipe?
Are any of the other 406 models running similar pipes but with different model numbers? This was suggested to me by the Peugeot main dealer parts specialist, but he hadnt time to check - if I could get access myself I would be happy to take the time to search through (would this be too much trouble to ask of you?).
Thank you again, Noel --
