Following on from successfully ordering the roll bar bushes I'm back with another seemingly obvious query. It turns out that at some point in the past the air intake scoop was removed from the slam panel of our TU1(possibly M) engined 205 GL. Two questions really: 1. Is the absence of this air intake the cause of the car's need to be thirsty? 2. Can anyone suggest a source for a replacement (all scrappies within a 100 mile radius do not have one)? Because I can't remember what it looked like before it failed to make it back from some mechanic's shed years ago I can't reliably determine which other models might fit. From the pictures in the Haynes manual it looks like any of the TU series engines will match. Thanks

The part number for the part looks like it is 1425L3 which is no longer available from Peugeot but Peugeot parts specialist, Dean Hunter on 01977 677887 is showing stock of it so give him a call and he will be able to confirm that its the part you are looking for. Don`t forget to mention CPUK when you speak to him. As far as contributing to the rough running of the car I reallt cannot say unfortunately other than to say the part should not be missing really. Hope this helps. parts@clubpeugeotuk.org

Thanks yet again. I'll give him a call tomorrow and will be certain to tell him how I got his number.
