According to my brochure, Max Towing weight is 800kg

Cheers. Its just I've been given a towbar for it, and thought I'd get hold of a cheap trailer tent for the beaulieau autojumble next year. A quick google search said the kerbweight for a 1983 1.1 GR was 780kg, and 85% of that came to 663kg. So 700 seemed like a realistic maximum to me, assuming the car is loaded with four and luggage. But if the brochure's saying 800, well, means I dont have to worry too much about going over that limit I'd worked out. Thanks, and Merry xmas  Dave |

My 205 manual (1989) gives for the 1.1 (TU1) engine
Kerb weight (XL) 780
Gross veh.weight 1200
Gross train weight 1900 kg
So it looks like 700 to me.
