Hope you can help. My 306 2.0 HDi Engine management light has come on for no apparent reason ? Car starts and drive as normal with no loss of performance or economy. This also happened last year and I had it plugged up to a friends Diagnostic machine. Fault read " Throttle position sensor". He managed to extinguish the light and car has driven faultlessly ever since, except up to now as light has come on again. does anyone know if these things are just a bit temperamental or is there a common fault As I have said the car is still sweet and drives fine ?

Far too many variables to give a definitive answer to that one. For a start the cars came with either Bosh, or more often Sagem management, so straight away there are two types to consider.
Our 06 Series Registrar is a bit of a 306 guru, though I'm not sure how into the diesels he is. If you joined the club you could ask him.
