Hey there everyone. Thought I'd use this section of the forum to introduce myself and my car. I bought a 2009 207 RC LeMans (aka GTI) about a year back here in Dubai. I love the styling and the exclusivity (there are only 25 of the LeMans versions in the UAE). Not a big fan of the handling however. It's not bad, but two of my friends own Clio RSes, and they are so much sharper to drive. Basically registered on these forums to get some help with some modifications now that the warranty period is over. First off, how would you guys recommend sorting out the handling? Someone from the local owners club has told me to go for a set of strut braces (front and rear). Is this a good idea? If so, where would be a good place to get them (ordering online is my best bet, since the Peugeot aftermarket is limited in the UAE)? Also, does anyone know the weight for the stock wheels? I'm thinking about switching to meatier tires, but if the stock wheels are heavy, I'll do the switch in conjunction with a new set of alloys. Lastly, I'm sorry if all of this information is already available elsewhere on the forum. Forums have never been my thing, so please direct me to the appropriate section/thread. Thanks everyone. Here's a pic of the 207 from a meet a few months back:

Ah, the LM. A very rare beast here. Built in anticipation of Peugeot winning Le Mans, except Peugeot promptly went and came 2nd that year, so there was virtually no publicity or advertising for the edition, probably out of embarassment! It's a beautiful machine. You have any more pics? Oh, and we cater for international members if you wanted to join the club As an aside, I prefer the 207 as a road car - the engines power may be less, but is much more usable than the fast Clio's. By the time you've trodden down a gear and got the Clio on the boil that overtaking opportunity you were eyeing up has been and gone. I also prefer the more forgiving ride and weightier (though still accurate) steering in the 207. On the track though I should think the Clio would ace it, but on a wet road with crumbling potholes (not many of those in Dubai!!!) the 207 is a much nicer proposition.
