Guys,
Any idea where I can get an original one I have tried Peugeot but PMC don't have any in stock anymore.
I really don't want an OEM one if I can help it.
By the way check out the car on the 205 ~Forum, it's the Silver restored one.

I have just brought two brand new clutch cable for my 1989 205 gti as I had the same problem going into main dealer and looking on service box and not being sold no more. I will dig out the part number for you and go onto EBAY and type it in as that is where I have just brought mine from as old stock. It may take a bit of time but one should turn up as there was three listed two weeks ago and I brought two of those and I have just brought two lift up reverse cables, one was old stock and one coming from France if there is any other there. I have been buying old stock for my 205 for the last five years as parts are running out.

If you let me have the last eight digits of the vin number I can confirm the part number and see if I can find one in old stock at a dealer. Just email me it on parts@clubpeugeotuk.org. I am sure I will be able to find a dealer that will have one left to sell you!
