This hot weather's reminded me how warm it becomes in my 1.9 litre 205 GTI after a while.
Anyone know a way of installing aircon into a 205 GTI without disfiguring its mint appearance?

It would be a very big and very expensive job.The only way to keep it "Original Peugeot" is to have a donor 205GTi that has air con (in perfect condition??) and swop it all over.It will still be a huge undertaking and quite honestly not worth the effort as you may end up spoiling a perfect GTi.

Thanks for your counsel oldpug, I had a feeling you might advise me like that.
Maybe the smile which my old car brings to my face every time I sit in it should outweigh all other considerations.
Adding aircon sounds near-impossible and [probably] an unhappy venture, so best avoided.

I know A/C is nice to have (when its hot ?) but it also knocks a couple of BHP off your engine and increases fuel consumption.On a 1.9 XU you really do notice it.
