307 estate knocking noises ???

Hi there i have a 2004 307 estate 2ltr hdi 90 and i seem to be getting knocking noises from i think the front of the car would anyone know what is causing this and how i go about fixing it as its doing my fruit in

Have you hit anyone ?

Check the front Grill, if you look carefully you might notice something there, if when the engine is off, you cease to hear the knocking but hear moaning then I would suggest scrape off the casualty, and give it a test run.

If when you look at the front there is nothing on the grill but you still hear moaning (With the engine off) check underneath, again once located scrape off the casualty and re-try.

If none of those work, do you have a cat ? have you seen it lately ? if not check the engine compartment for cat (purring type) not carbon filled. Remove cat and re-test.

If none of these help, then I'm sorry but it's a problem with the car.
