Hi, some someone can offer some advice here. I took my car into the garage today for a new clutch kit (Peugeot 206 2004 1.1v) as the last one started to really judder.
Anyway, £250 later for clutch kit and fitting; I drive off and get about 1 mile down the road when the emissions light starts flashing for about 2 mins then went solid. I pulled over and restarted engine and it did the same again (flashing on / off and then solid).. Complete loss of power aswell and engine running really rough. Im going to take it back tomorrow to se what is wrong but I called the garage and they said it wouldn't be linked to anything they have done? Managed to get the car home (about 1 mile drive) but didnt get above 30mph and thats with pedal to floor.
Any help GREATLY appreciated
Thanks.

For the garage to say that its nothing to do with their job after YOU have only driven 1 mile and THEY have not looked at it, is stupid. It looks highly likely that it is something to do with the clutch job. There are many things to consider with the gearbox out and the engine moving around, various sensors getting the multiplugs knocked off or wires damaged, vacuum pipes getting pulled off etc.The flywheel sensor is very vulnerable and easily damaged if not removed from harms way. Also there is a speed sensor on the gearbox that has to be disconnected. It needs a diagnostic check to see what fault codes are showing.

Garages like that give the motor trade a bad name. More than likely they will have damaged the crank sensor putting the box back in.
It may not be anything to do with the work they've done, but very likely! They should have a look and then decide if they are at fault.

hi thanks for your replies . Just to update it was the number 4 injector and it was the radiator dripping down that caused it - purely a coincidence it was the day the clutch was done!
All sorted & car running like a dream now - better than it has for about 2 years!
cheers
