Hi
Had car in at garage today as engine warning light was on and loss of power with car sounding like a tank. Machine has read there is a problem with the number 4 injector and when they have had a look at the spark plug 4 it was bone dry so looks like no fuel has been getting to it. I was told about 1yr ago this injector was poss faulty but not had a problem with it since (apart fom engine sometimes feeling slightly rough). Anyone got any idea about how much it costs for a new number 4 injector with labour? Guy said I would need to leave car with them, which i have, and he will ring parts place and get price to sort first thing monday. Thanks

I`ve lost count how many I`ve done and its always number four injector?? I think its something to do with water dripping down from the radiator header tank bottle onto the injector?? Its a simple job and a garage should charge 2 hours max including the diag`and ECU reset. Its important to get a genuine O/E part,GSF or Euro can supply Bosch injectors for about £50-£60 each.If its just showing one injector code there is no point in replacing all four.

hi oldpug, thanks for your reply. Just to update it was the number 4 injector and it was the radiator dripping down that caused it - well guessed! All sorted now £126.40 for bosch part fitting and ecu download- car running like a dream now - better than it has for about 2 years! cheers steve
