gear linkage. 104 or 205

Hello all
The gear linkage on my Talbot Samba style (1986 d reg)
Needs replacing.
talbot ones are very hard to find but believe the 104 or 205 ones are similar and can easily be welded to fit?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi James

Not sure which gear box is fitted to your car but 104s were last sold in the UK in 1982/3 so would think your best bet is a 205 part.
