I own a 1989 Peugeot 505 GTI Saloon. I have a problem with the electric sunroof leaking, the elecrics still open and close the roof (just) but i think it might need a new rubber seals? Anyone got any ideas where i can buy this?

Dean Hunter 01977677887 but I`m sure you will be asking for rocking horse !*+?. I`m assuming its the Peugeot standard metal roof? First clean every thing up,WD40 etc to ensure the roof is fully closing. Then make sure the drain holes at each front corner are clear, they then run down each front window pillar,a blast with an air line gives the best result. You can check these out with the roof open and carefully pouring water down the holes and watching it run out under the front wing.

Fab will give that a try, after last nights rain i also seem to be have water ingress coming in from the off side driver footwell, on lookig this morning in more detail it seems to be coming down the driver pillar and in through a gap where the corner of the windscreen joins the pillar?? Is this ossible? d**n shame because the Car is immaculate internally and totally orginal i have put a De-humidifier in this morning.

There are three seals for the sunroof shown on the parts slide; One for the sunroof itself. one for the frame and a slim on that fits at the front of the frame. For the frame seal you will need to know the dimensions of the frame (!) 10x3 or 15x15. The part numbers are;Sunroof 843718, Frame seal; 840219 (10x3) or 840210 (15x15) and the front clipping seal 845119. I can see stock aof all the parts at various Peugeot dealers and also Dean Hunter is showing stock of them aswell. If you need me to contact the dealers to confirm let me know on parts@clubpeugeotuk.org,

With out looking at it its difficult to comment? Simple stuff first, remove the panel around the wipers and make sure the drain holes left & right are clear, bet its full of leaves?Has it got a roof aerial?? if so remove it and refit with a blob of mastic. The front screen seal may be leaking? a short cut would be to get a GOOD screen fitter to run a mastic gun round it,but the best way is to remove the screen (Risky job!!) it will crack or you will need a new rubber? Try all these idea`s ? my other thoughts?.... you will not want to know.
