Hi,
A couple of weeks ago, my beloved 607 was running low on fuel and the "De-Poulltion system faulty" warning appeared on the display.
After filling up the warning dissapeared, however yesterday - even with a full tank - the warning has appeared again and won't clear.
Any ideas?
I'm running a 2.2L petrol, and use 97 octance fuel.

These engines are sensitive to the state of the plugs and new ones have been known to cure this. There is an EGR but it's usually pretty reliable on the EW12. If plugs don't cure it then get it hooked up on Planet before spending any more time/money.

Thanks for this. I've got a "Summer Check" booked in at my local dealer on Wednesday so will ask them to take a look.
Whilst I love Peugeots and driving them, I haven't really got much of a clue "under the bonnet" :-)

Another quick question if I may? And apologies for sounding a bit "thick".
I just did a check on the oil, and found the level to be very low - and I'm wondering if this is what's generating the warning - however I'm suprised as I topped it up only about a month ago.
I'm using 97 octane fuel rather than 95 in the car (2.2 Petrol) and my friend thinks that this may be part of the problem and I should stick with the lower octane.
Thoughts?

The octane won't make any difference. The motor has no means of advancing the ignition beyond the curve for 95. Any slight difference is down to the better detergent package on the more expensive brew.
I doubt the engine oil lever will cause this. Plugs, coils, EGR, or Lambda are most likely, in that order of preference.

Well...
I topped up with Oil this evening and, low and behold, the warning indication cleared straight away!
How strange..

Well, don't knock it! I don't understand the mechanism behind that process, but I'm glad it worked for you feller
