Hi All, I'm a new member and already asking for help. I'm a film maker and journalist covering the Plymouth-Dakar rally. It's like the Paris-Dakar but you're only allowed to spend a £100 on a car. It has to be LHD and you have to sell it for charity at the finish line, if you make it. I went on the radio and someone phoned in with a 1987 Peugeot 205 1.4 GL with 150k kms on the clock and French plates. It cost me £99.99. Its got to travel another 6.5k kms across 7 countries and the Sahara desert. Does any one have any ideas. The car at the moment is not taxed, registered, MOTed or insured. I don't live in the UK but in Asia so have arrived back with loads of things to do and little time. Please check out www.rallyace.com for more info. Give some money to the worthy causes if nothing else. My personel e-mail is circe_sutton@yahoo.co.uk if any can give me some advice that would be great. Thanks Stuart

Hi Stuart!
Good choice. I am the editor of the CPUK magazine the peugeotist and I seem to remember that a few years we ran an article about a club member who had made a solo journey across the Sahara in a 205. I'll try and dig the article out and either send you a copy or get it up on the cpuk website.
In any case we'd love to hear about your adventures, including the buildup and prep
