my 1.1 206 lx revs stick when i change gear or come to a stop. t There is a very strong smell of petrol in the car when im driving, this becomes worse when i put my foot down more when i drive up the hill as the car is quite sluggish up hills. I have cleaned the lambda sensors and have plugged the car into a snap on verus diagnostic system and its saying no current fault codes. It has been serviced recently and they just said to put a new air filter on it and the revving should stop but it hasnt really worked. would really appreciate an answer lewis.

You may have two faults?? First is to check round under the bonnet, under the car and around the fuel tank with the engine running to see if you have a fuel leak? particularly by the fuel filter. The sticking throttle? just make sure nothing silly has happened to the cable while it was serviced. Then remove the stepper motor (its also called an idle control valve) and give it and the throttle housing a good clean with carb` cleaner.
