My 106 recently failed its MOT with a repair quote of £500+ quoted by Kwik-Fit. MOT failed on centre steering rack gaiter insecure and nearside front brake binding. The quoted repair costs were for a new front brake system, which I was told I needed after closer inspection from Kwik-fit. The problem I have is that it has alloy wheels on it that I believe would be worth more than the car itself. If I were to sell the car with the alloys I don't think anyone would pay what the alloys are worth. Could I keep the alloys and sell the car without wheels for much money and would someone actually be able to collect it from my house without wheels? Could someone tell me how much they think my car is worth with the alloys and without the alloys? Also if someone could also tell me how much they think all 4 alloy wheels would be worth if sold alone, including low profile tyres? Just don't want to scrap this car if it could still live a happy life with a new owner who could either do the work needed to it themselves or who has the money to spend on fixing it up so it would pass its MOT. Car details below.
