I also would like to know if I am correct that the roofs for a CJ and CTI anr interchangable

I'd be very surprised if the roofs are different, though I don't think power hoods were fitted to the CJ, which may make a difference. If you look for a frame you may find that the 'hoop' round the rear edge, just above the boot lid, suffers from corrosion because of condensation.
