Hi all we recently bought this car told it was ready for winter blah blah blah anyway last thursday heating was actually freezing and car was overheating, RAC guy came 4 hours later and told us how to sort it (empty coolant/water out, flush it through and refill making sure all air is out) which me and hubby did this morning (hubby had been driving it just to shop etc and it was driving fine except overheating but luckily he was getting there and back before it went into the red) so after we had sorted the coolant prob and made sure all air out, hubby took it for a run to make sure heating was working and it wasnt overheating........YES!!!! but oh no there was another problem which hasnt been there over last few days, when he slows down approaching lights and then starting back up again to leave lights it starts juddering, ive been told maybe this maybe that but not from people who know what theyre on about.
So myself and hubby would be very greatful if you could maybe try to help us diagnose this and if its fixable ourselves or does it need a garage? If it can be done ourselves better cos less money. Plus the car is very important to us for school runs/work etc please please can anyone help us at all? if you need anymore info just say and i'll ask hubby and let you know thanks in advance
(p.s. he said he has felt this juddering before and it was when we had a kangoo diesel and it turned out that there was air in the fuel lines, so could it be similar? and is it easy to bleed air out?)

If you've overheated it enough times you may have damaged the head gasket or even worse, cooked the engine. I'd be looking at getting it to a garage to be checked.

There is a guy who comes to your house to diagnose problems and I'm going to ask him to come if there's nothing it can be that we can sort ourselves
