Hi I have recently bought a 206. It went for an mot and i was told front side and nearside suspension has slight play in lower suspension ball joints. [2.5.B.1a] So had them replaced but noticed a few days later steering makes a knocking sound when turning i returned to the garage and guy told me nothing to worry about took caps off top of suspension and treated with WD forty and he said they were probably a little dry after new parts fitted and they will bed in.Is this right as never noticed any noise before they were fitted. Thanks in anticipation.

To be on the safe side I would get a second opinion?? if the knocking started AFTER? the job it may need more checking than a squirt of WD40. The ball joints are part of the wishbones, did they fit two new assemblies?

Hi Yes they fitted new on both sides next door neighbour looked under car and said he could see both were new.The guy told me it was better to use WD 40 when weather was dry not much luck there just lately but have sprayed a little on and does seemed to improved it .But bit worried if i am just masking a noise which will turn out worse in a while.
