All,
Be very careful if you deal with this guy. He ripped me off by supplying me with a faulty fuel pump for my 504 cabriolet which I bought in good faith. I suppose I should have known better. I paid 175 quid for something that is useless and basically scrap as as soon as I connected it up, it leaked fuel everywhere.
I tried getting back in contact and asking him to refund me or exchange for something else, but no reply after a week and several emails. I warned him that I would put out bad press if he failed to contact me in 7 days and he has failed to this, here's the bad press Kurt!
I don't like doing this as I like to give everyone the chance to redeem their mistakes, but this guy is just bad news I'm afraid.

Well, not a surprise. I advised against buying from him a couple of times on this forum.
This guy is well known on the continent within the 504cc community as a crook. He's a pure speculator who has built a significant stock of parts that he resells at a premium. In recent months he has put his hands on nearly everything that appears on ebay by systematically outbiddding everybody at ridiculous prices (eg: £2000 [yes £2k!] for a last series instrument panel). Break discs, wings, bonnets, boot lids, alloy wheels, interior trim, windows, electrical items, pumps, gearboxes, headlamps, rear lights, books, user manuals, original brochures, miniatures, you just couldn't get them against him.
He does nothing but inflate prices and then sends out messages to say he's got the items but, being rare, ther're very expensive.
He also has 504CCs for sale at usually twice the price he pays for them. Eg: a red 1983 cab that failed to sell on ebay for several months at 12,000€. He's got it now and selling it for 22,000€.
He uses 2 pseudos en ebay: lisa.70 and stile_genetier. Some of you may notice that he has bought and sold from one account to the other to generate artificial good feedback. He's a nasty clever cookie. More recently, he has been using a new pseudo listed as being in Syria and he uses this to outbid buyers for the sake of preventing a sale. He then leaves the seller with an unpaid item and irritates everyone. Sometimes he will send you messages through ebay to insult you because you've bidded on something.
He used to post a few adverts on the old CPUK web site for parts. He also used to inundate the German 504cc club forum with adverts until they threw him out. These days he sticks to 504cc.com like a dog on a bone. You cannot post a query about a part without him replying that he's got it. He's a worm you can't get rid of. For those of you who read and speak French, a look at the forum on 504cc.com would make an interesting reading (his posts are from 'Yvonne').
I made contact with him 3 years ago when I got my 504 to inquire about parts. Of course, he had everything. When I started to ask more details about the parts, pictures, guarantee of good working order or prices, there was silence.
This guy is a complete w****r (some say he's the man to kill!) and I'd advise everyone to avoid him like the plague.

Bloody hell! I'm surprised anyone goes to such efforts. I'd never heard of him before but he doesn't sound like the pleasantest of people. Does he have an interest in 504ccs or is it purely as a money generator (although he's obviously prepared to speculate to accumulate)?

I've just found his website. He certainly appears professional - it just goes to show you can't be too careful. One good thing though, I've never had a good look at a 504cc - what a cracking looking car, especially in black. I don't think I'll be shopping at Kurt's place for one!

yes He is indeed baaad news. It's a shame that the enjoyment of so many 504cc owners and he whole scene itself be so blighted by just one man! Thank goodness he has (so far) constrained himself to this one area, where new owners soon become wise to him.

Well,
The good news is that if you now do a Google search for Kurt Orbie, my article posted to the peugeotclub. discussion board now comes up as the second item! Thats the good thing about the web because it allows you to not only publish good news to a world-wide audience, it allows you to do the same for bad news too!

If you contact Nottingham Diesel on 01159 475894 l am sure they can do something with your pump. They did wonders when my Ti went "phut phut cough"

phew, I'm a newbie on here, and had been in discussion with Mr Orbie re buying a car, he was really keen for me to get over to Belgium. Found one on ebay and am restoring it now, but will source parts elsewhere. Cheers

Welcome to the forum. It would be great to see some pics of the car you bought and your progress! You may well find it worthwhile joining CPUK proper (via the main website) as you will certainly save more on parts with your club discount than membership costs!
