Peugeot 30V6

I have managed to get hold of a damaged Clio v6, sadly the shell is kinked so is going to be broken.

So as I have a few 306 shell laying around and would love a 306 Maxi, I decided to build it into one with a Maxi/Dimma kit on.

here is some pics of the poorly Clio to start you off

Stripped the car down and found both inner wings/ the whole front end is kinked upwards as well.

and then cut the front end off!





next the roof goes!

Got the rear arches off, man they are glued on well!!
Took ages to get them off in one piece! would like what glue they use.

But it nice to pull one of these apart to know how they go together. Although there is a few worrying bodges and found quite a lot of rust under the arches.

After lots of measuring we found the Clio floor pan would not fit the 306 shell nicely, and the fact I need to use the 306 front subframe so we decided that it would be best to use the 306 floor pan and just use the rear part of the Clio.

so more cutting and not much left now!!





next the 306 is going to meet the cutter!

then I bought myself a new toy, I got a plasma cutter and this made light work of cutting out the floor of the 306,







still got the nearside inner arch to finish off then I can left the body over the Clio rear end!

After a lot more cutting the engine is now sitting pretty much where it needs to be,

















just got make it all fit together nicely now!

Well the body kit arrived today!

so had to stick it on just to see how it looks.

Going to need massive suspension drop on the front! and maybe cut the inner arches out in order to get in low enough!

the back sits nice and should be about the right height when it is set on the floor.

using the Clio front wheels on the rear and the offset is perfect, just need bigger tyres on it.

the marriage of the 2 halves started over the weekend and they are now both tacked together, just measuring to make sure we are all square then fully weld it up!

oh and some wheels turn up today, so had to stick the tyre on and try it for size! just need to find 2 more front ones!
