hi all. new to this forum,i have a peugeot 206 auto allure convertable, the problem is i think the starter motor,it is a strange thing i called out rac when it first went clunk, sorry an old persons hint to clout the starter, but now not possible, lol, and when they arrived he sat in seat and it started first time? it was no prob for a few days then the same thing happened we waited half an hour and it started ? told my local garage who booked in car,got a recon starter, and left it, when i called they said the lead to the starter was corroded they cleaned an refitted the wire and it started on the button for approx 10 times. picked up car no problem at all. went out today did a few errands went back to car and clunk it would not start. i called the rac but as the weather is so bad i had to leave the car parked and got picked up.what i want to know is how big a job is it to change a starter on this car, cheers peter.
