Hi all,
I have a 1975 504ti sedan with chrome plated plastic trimming in the interior. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the trim was not genuine chrome and on using a metal Polish have stripped off a large patch of the chrome plating. My mistake irks me every time I drive the car and I would love to have the trim fixed, but have read that chroming plastic is not a simple matter and rarely done these days. Has anyone had parts re-chromed and if so what was the quality and cost? Does anyone in the London or wider UK have any recommendations on someone to use?
