407 boot will not open

\Help!!!! 407 boot is locked. Key will not open it. Central locking ok. O in the 407 badge will not work. Have read several forums and mentions of broken wires are mentioned, but cant find a broken wire. Also mention of a small hole to the left of the lock inside enables a small device entered and wriggled around will release lock. I cannot find a small hole anywhere near the lock inside. Am at wits end to get this solved. is it possible to activate the switch by connecting power to the small blue wire to by pass any broken wire?
