309 glove box

 HI FOLKS.  i have a 1990 309 look, without a glovebox door, can anyone tell me if the door fits straight on to the lower dash panel OR should there be a surround piece between the door and dash, i dont know of a local 309 that i could look at and see where the hinges or any fixings would fit, are the series 1 and 2 doors the same?. once i know all the parts i need i can start trying to track them all down. thanks, regards  banksy.

hi. OK got a lid, other 309 owners be aware that phase 1/2 lids ARE NOT the same. phase 2 lids are a lot bigger so the lids wont swop over, could save you some money by NOT buying the wrong type,hope this helps someone. BUT perhaps i was the only herbert who did not know.
