I'm lucky enough to have a pretty good condition 1972 504 cabriolet.. but in the last couple of years I've been struggling to get the garage who have been looking after it for me to show any real interest in helping me keep it in good shape and running. I would love any recommendations for anyone who might be interested to help me service and maintain the car. Thank you so much. I`m afraid most of us "old school Peugeot experts" are now retired.All I can suggest is the firms listed in the ClubPeugeotUK year book. The only one in the London area is MS Motors Forest Gate,020851901. The other two 504 specialists are in Yorkshire !! www.sfm-peugeotspecialist.co.uk/classic-peugeots-restoration OR John Fox in Settle 01729822107 Also if you want anything done to the Kugelfischer injection system on your 504 talk to Steve at Nottingham Diesel Services 01159475894. He has overhauled a number of pumps for me in the past,and they are still running perfectly. With a lovely rare car like yours it could be worth a long journey,leave it for a thorougher servicing and may be a few jobs? Once everything is running perfectly all it will need from then on would be a regular oil change and a grease up? something your local trusty garage could easily do. |
