Hi guys,
So I've recently purchased a lovely 306 Meridian 1.6 and I've discovered a few cracks in the expansion bottle (coolant reservoir) of my radiator so have ordered a new one so that I can fix it.
Just wondering if you can give me any tips on replacing the lower radiator hose - heard these are a pain to disconnect and can take up to 4 hours for a specialist to do.
I've bought a whole new radiator along with the expansion bottle and bottom hose so need advice on best ways to replace them all.
It's petrol, 1587v and first registered in February 1997.

The way the lower hose is fitted to the radiator is a ridiculous idea.Trying to disconnect it "in situ" is very difficult to do without damaging it(and your fingers !)As you have a nice new rad` and hose why bother? just cut the old hose and yank it all out.The hose connects to the water pump with a normal jubilee clip. Study the new rad` and hose and you will then understand the way it fits.Fit the hose first, then lower the rad` in place,be careful not to damage your nice new rad`,there is not a lot of room to work in.Lubricate the hose, push it into the rad` and make sure the circlip has locked it.
