I have just finish the coachwork rebuild of my 304 and am now turning my attention to the engine.
This engine has not been run for 25 years and I am unsure as to what to do with it.
It has done about 80000 miles.
Does anyone know of anybody who can recondition this?

Oddball engine but if you have mechanical knowledge have a go yourself. I did mine.
It'll need to be out of the car. Main thing g is be careful with the wet piston liners. Also loads of different sized bolts in timing cover, so label them well. Head is nice and straight forward to strip and there is a special tool to hold camshaft pulley. Flywheel also needs a special puller. All gaskets are available on Ebay I think.
Make sure you know what engine is fitted before commencing work. Xl3, xl3s xl5 etc.
