605 sticking throttle !!! - HELP

Hi All - I have a 1995 Peugeot 605 3.0 and am having an intermittent problem with the throttle sticking open from time to time - not much fun when driving around - and doesn't do too much for the brake discs either ! -
I have had it checked out and the garage can't find any problems with the mechanical linkages - has anybody got any ideas - HELP........

All I can suggest is don't risk yourself an accident, replace the cable as soon as possible.
