I have a 04 206 quiksilver 1.4 16v and I am planning to fit a cd changer to the standard Clarion head unit. I had to resort to a peugeot dealer to get the correct cable as I had searched out everywhere else, so that isn't the problem! What is that I don't have a clue how to route the cable from the back of my head unit to the boot, and I haven't had the car that long that i'm willing to start taking up random bits of carpet! There must be a way of routing the cable down the passenger side of the car without ripping too much apart! Any suggestions, even of where to look on the net for answers would be gratefully received!

The cable from the changer in the boot of my golf runs under the carpet along the side of the front and back wells, it's going to be pretty easy to lift the edge of the carpet and run the cable through, then under out the top of the passenger footwell carpet and under the dash. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you rout it behind your HU and down into the footwell the rest is quite easy. Pull the sill up on the door to reveal little clips holding the carpet down take these out and you can slide the cable underneath the carpet.
then run it under your rear seats (easyier to take them out for this bit) and into the boot.
Then its asimply matter of putting the clips and sills back on the car!
Should only take 30 mins max!

I think some Peugeot's have the cable on the rear (not all peugeot's). Mine is a late 1999, the HU is the PU1633A (Clarion), and in the rear, in the left side of the trunk, behind a cover (sorry, i dont know how to say it in english, but is a protection for a compartment) there is a compartiment. Taking the cover, and the compartment (plastic made) we reach an amount of cables (rear lights, rear wiper, third stop light, etc). Looking carefully, hided and protected because of noise, there is the cable for the changer, that matches the wires connected in the rear of the HU. I don't know if the 206 has it. But one way to find it (if it has one or not) is to see if in the HU there is the connector (harness?). Mine, it have the main current (etc) conector, the outputs connector, and one other connector, wich cable goes for the rear. This is the one. I don't know if this is so much help (probabily, if you have bought it, it's because it hasn't the cable in the rear of the HU). But make sure.
Sorry for the bad english... lol
