hello everyone, I've just found this as I had posted this message on andyspares but the pug part of the forum is now gone....and I need help really as this problem is worrying me a lot
I own a 1995 phase 1 106 1.1 aztec. I've noticed that the radiator header tank (which sits right next to the radiator) seems to have oil in the coolant. The radiator filler cap did have a small bit of mayo on it but not much but the consistency of the coolant seems more like oil than coolant. I'm not familiar with the 106 as I just got it.
I recently filled up both the oil and the coolant. Is it normal for the coolant to be oily after running the car. I consulted the haynes manual and it says that the coolant passes through the oil cooler on some models but is not specific on which ones.
Should I be worried as the car runs fine and is not overheating?. Does it point to a more serious problem?
Also I need to source 2 transfers for the door panels which have vinyl transfers with aztec designs on them...I can't find a source for these anywhere.
Thanks for all your help in advance.
Regards
Dave

Decals for "Aztec" are going to be main dealer only, or specialist Dean Hunter may have some www.peugeotparts.co.uk, mention CPUK to him when you phone. How much oil is in the water, if its a very light film I'd not be worried at this time, keep an eye on it, but it there are clear blobs there could be something wrong. Remember if you've just got it did the last owner actually know where to put oil in, its been known before a blonde moment (no offence!) that it goes the wrong hole!
