Hi there
I'm a newbie on this site and thought this would be a good place to ask as I'm struggling to find information about a rare electric model.
I have the opportunity to buy an immaculate 2000 partner electric van at what seems a good price, but am struggling to decide if this is a practical choice or not, any thoughts?
Apparently Peugeot service the batteries regularly for a low (?)monthly fee. The 40-50 mile range could be very limiting though, considering that I have a 35 mile trip 5 days a week to get to college. I can't seem to find any information on how much it will cost to recharge the batteries everyday, only that the batteries total 162 volts, and need to be charged 6 - 9 hours. I've heard rumours thar braking could partially recharge the batteries, but don't know how reliable that info is.
Does anyone have any experience of these cars?
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Lisa

There are just over 100 Partner Electrics in the country, as far as I am aware you lease the battery from Peugeot, but never own it so its important to check before purchase. Club Peugeot UK have organised a visit to the Atwell-Wilson museum who have one of these electric vans and a 106 in their collection. I would recconmend contacting them for their practical advice, details on the main webpage in events. Mat
