Hi everyone, Im Ian,live in Hayes West London, and Ive owned a 1971 504 i saloon for years.........................Ive been restoring it for the road after 3 years of standing-- Ive checked for a good spark, and drained the petrol, renewed the fuel , bled the injectors while turning the engine over without plugs, all fuel is at the injectors, but she will not fire---good spark, fuel spraying from injectors..............................nothing, not even trying.....any ideas, anyone--the car is in great order, with only 60000 on the clock, and was running well 3 years ago.................regards, ianj

The 504Ti expert is Stuart Bird who owns the blue one in this months magazine. I would imagine the timing is out, so hence the spark is not at the right time to ignite the fuel. Worth getting the timing marks lined up on the pump and crank, and checking the position of the points in the distributor. I could be wrong, Stuart is the man! If you a club member we can put you in contact with him, or David Myers the 504 Registrar.
