Ok. my radio wires are bare. and need wiring into a iso conector.
Ive got the earth and 12V wire conected.
But am unsure of the 3rd wire. May be a illumination wire. Ive tried conecting the Ariel and Illumination wire but still no response from the CD player.
Can Any one help. Is this wire Fused? Could it of have burnt out?

If you have 3 wires, I would expect: - an earth/negative (usually black) - a direct live from the battery (usually yellow or white) - a live from the ignition (usually red)
The live wire from the battery would allow to retain the configuration of your radio (the programmed stations or a clock for example), whilst the live wire off the ignition would allow you to switch on and off the radio as the engine is used.

If it's hissing on the radio only and on all atations then suspect your arial connection. If you can here it on the Cd then it could be ther speaker wire connections picking up interference. best recheck that all your connections are good, tight and insulated.
