Hello! I am thinking about buying a 205 GRDT from 1992. The car was imported from UK and has an original badge on the boot lid that says "Ecodiesel". Is also has, inside the lugage compartment, an ECU... ( ) what is its porpose? Does anyone knows the differences between this model and the normal 205 turbo diesel engine...? Is it possible to convert it to normal version? If anyone knows, please inform where can I get some more information about this version because in my country this version was not commercialized. (at Peugeot dealer, they don't even know that this model exists...) Thanks in advance for all information you might be able to suplly...

Ha! Forget to say... This car has ABS and Air Conditioning! At boot lid says "205 D turbo - Ecodiesel" but on documents it is written GRDT...

This sounds like an aftermarket conversion applied to the car. You dont say where you are from, but I would guess Italy? as Google searches show quite a few 205 models with Ecodiesel. This should allow the car to run on higher levels of vegetable oil. There would need to be adaption to the fuel pump top cope with this. I would imagine the black box is some sort of mixure control device. There are various similar systems available now, but using vegetable oil as road fuel in the UK is illegal beacuse of taxation.
