I don't yet have the serial number for this car (the main plate is missing) but thanks to an important contact in the Netherlands, we do have the carrosserie number, which allows us to register the car:

We've been "beating the bushes" in Portugal this week for 404 C models and this is the latest fruit of that work, thanks to Miguel R. for the photos and for passing the information on to Le Club 404:
